Algorithm
X expands its open-source algorithm and pilots “Under the Hood”
What changed
X expanded the xai-org/x-algorithm repository with key configuration parameters, including the weights that blend predicted actions into a score. It also added the visibility-filtering systems and the labelers behind them, Phoenix model training code and SimClusters. Alongside it came Under the Hood, a settings page where a pilot group of eligible accounts can download a JSON summary of labels that can limit visibility.
Why it matters for creators
For the first time you can read which signals push a post up or down in For You. The weights still scale predictions, not raw counts, so read them with that in mind.
