Revenue Sharing ends; Original Content Rewards opens to former members
What changed
Earnings under the old Revenue Sharing program stopped on 7 September 2026, as X had announced in August. From 8 September, existing members could apply to Original Content Rewards, which needs an active Premium tier, 500 verified followers and 500,000 Home Timeline impressions from verified users in the last 90 days.
Why it matters for creators
Former members aren’t moved over automatically and have to reapply. Accounts that mostly repost or aggregate other people’s content are unlikely to qualify.
